Solution :

= 9.6 + 3.6 - (0.4)2 (Exponents)

= 13.04

Problem 3 :

(0.76 + 4.24) ÷ 0.25 + 8.6

Solution :

Given, (0.76 + 4.24) ÷ 0.25 + 8.6

(0.76 + 4.24) ÷ 0.25 + 8.6 (Bracket)

= 5 ÷ 0.25 + 8.6 (Division)

= 0.0196 ÷ 4 (Division)

= 0.0049

2.4 + (0.5)2 - 0.35

Solution :

Given, 2.4 + (0.5)2 - 0.35

= 2.4 + (0.5)2 - 0.35 (Exponents)

= 2.4 + 0.25 - 0.35 (Addition)

= 2.65 - 0.35 (Subtraction)

= 2.3

Solution :
