I. Find the following integrals.

Problem 1 :

∫ (5x2 - 8x + 5)dx

Solution:

Now we are going to write separate integration.

=5x2-8x+5dx=5x2 dx-8x dx+5 dx=5x33-8x22+5x+C=5x33-4x2+5x+C

Problem 2 :

∫ (-6x3 + 9x2 + 4x - 3)dx

Solution:

=-6x3+9x2+4x-3dx=-6x3 dx+9x2 dx+4x dx-3 dx=-6x44+9x33+4x22-3x+C=-3x42+3x3+2x2-3x+C

Problem 3 :

x32+2x+3dx

Solution:

=x32+2x+3dx=x32 dx+2x dx + 3 dx=x5252+2x22+3x+C=2x525+x2+3x+C

Problem 4 :

8x-5x2+6x3dx

Solution:

=8x-5x2+6x3dx=8x-5x-2+6x-3dx=8 ln(x)-5x-1-1+6x-2-2+C=8 ln(x)+5x-3x2+C

Problem 5 :

x+13xdx

Solution:

=x+13xdx=x12+13x-12dx=x3232+13x1212+C=23x32+23x12+C

Problem 6 :

12x34-9x53dx

Solution:

=12x34-9x53dx=12x34 dx-9x53 dx=12x7474-9x8383+C=48x747-27x838+C

Problem 7 :

x2+4x2dx

Solution:

=x2+4x2 dx=x2x2+4x2 dx=1+4x-2 dx=1 dx + 4x-2 dx=x+4x-1-1+C=x-4x+C

Problem 8 :

Solution:

=1xx dx=1x32 dx=x-32 dx=x-12-12+C=-2x+C

Problem 9 :

∫(1 + 3t)t2 dt

Solution:

=(1+3t)t2 dt=t2+3t3 dt=t2 dt+3t3 dt=t33+3t44+C=t33+3t44+C

Problem 10 :

∫(2t2 - 1)2 dt

Solution:

=2t2-12 dt=4t4-4t2+1 dt=4t4 dt -4t2 dt + dt=4t55-4t33+t+C=4t55-4t33+t+C

Problem 11 :

y2 3y dy

Solution:

=y2 3y dy=y2 y13 dy=y73 dy=y103103+C=3y10310+C

Problem 12 :

∫dθ

Solution:

= ∫dθ

= θ + C

Problem 13 : 

∫7 sin(x)dx

Solution:

= ∫7 sin(x)dx

= 7 ∫sin(x)dx

= 7(-cos(x))

= -7 cos x + C 

Problem 14 :

∫5 cos(θ) dθ

Solution:

= ∫5 cos(θ) dθ

= 5 ∫cos(θ) dθ

= 5 sin(θ) + C

Problem 15 :

∫9 sin(3x) dx

Solution:

= ∫9 sin(3x) dx

Let 3x = t

dx = 1/3 dt

= 9/3 ∫sin t dt

= 3 ∫sin t dt

= -3 cos t + C

= -3 cos(3x) + C
